Cold

by lonelynow   Jul 1, 2006

She sits, face blank
Staring at the wall
Maybe when she wakes up
She'll forget it all
Eyes wide, mouth open
She breathes in and out
Remembers how it started
Breathes what it's about
She doesn't think; she doesn't speak
They do that for her
She doesn't smile; she doesn't weep
Deep down she doesn't care
They gave her wisdom beyond her years
And she isn't very old
She's just a child, innocent
And all she feels is cold
