A lot to be thankful for

by Bloomed Rose   Jul 1, 2006

The open window pane
Sprinkled with dew drops
The fireplace is burning
Grandma's in the kitchen
Cooking the best pie
In the entire world
~
Grandpa's in the living room
Strumming on an old guitar
To a old, familiar tune
All the cousins at the table
Playing board games
And giggling at everything they say
~
My dad and uncle
Watching a football game
And rooting for the underdogs
My aunt's on the couch
Knitting a scarf
Thats one of a kind
~
And my mom in front of the mirror
Making sure to get every strand
Of her beautiful, blond hair curled
~
I sit in front of the window
Staring out at those gorgeous,
Snow-capped mountains
The puppy sleeps near my feet
I just sit there and think to myself . . . .
I have a LOT to be thankful for . . . . . .
