Haunting me

Your presence still lingers in the air
even though you are not near
these thoughts of you I still fear
you haunt me each and every day
I close my eyes and see your face
this picture of you in my head
never seems to go away
the scent of you still lingering in the air
the voices of you still echoing
telling me how much you never cared
At night I lay in my bed
and thoughts of you are still in my head
I seem to never get to sleep
Every noise in the house sounds like your footsteps
down to every last creak
even though its been a few months since
you have gone away
you are still here hauting me
each and every day
