A Broken Prayer

Oh Lord...

Can you hear me?
Are you listening?
Do you see the tears I cry?
Do you feel the pain in each thumping pulse of my heart?
I'm falling Lord...falling further and further with each breath I take.
Please, pick me up Lord...make me whole again.
I feel like im NOTHING...im dissolving into nothingness...right before my very eyes.
When everything seems to be fine, why does it all seem to fall apart so quickly?
Everything you do happens for a reason...this I know...I'm simply waiting for your hand to bring me back into the light.

You know you're in my heart...
So please help me to let you FILL my heart again.
I used to laugh...Lord...i used to laugh...

Lord...why have I fallen apart?
Why can't I dry my tears?
I don't even know what's wrong anymore.
I know he sees me...he sees me broken...Lord he sees...
Why does he hollow out my chest everytime he says my name?
Why can't he love me like you do?
Why can't he cherish me...im his DAUGHTER Lord...

Nobody knows how much he hurts me...NOBODY.
Lord, help me to TALK about it...help me to open up.
I want to let EVERYTHING out...
I'm afraid to show emotion...afraid to let people see that yes...im HUMAN...and YES...i am WEAK...

Why do I think that if people SEE me...they'll run away and hide?
Lord, i'm dying inside...slowly but surely.
Everytime he says my name with a hint of annoyance and that face that doesn't care, a piece of me whithers away...

Pick up the pieces...
See the fallen angel?
That's me...and I want my wings back Lord...
PLEASE...
