It's the Thought That Counts

by SMILEoften   Jul 5, 2006

It seems the scar opens,
as soon as it mends.
It seems when I'm fine,
it all starts to bend.
But you come along,
place your lips to mine
closing our eyes..
Tongue's will entwine.

You bring out the light
in this dark, gloomy Sunday
I look into your eyes
and in your arms, I lay.
The trees blow in winds
and animals pass
but whatever happens
my love will last.

Blowing out the candles,
smiling, at your perfect face
Place my spot back beside you
a pillow covered in lace.

I know this isn't the best rhyme
but it's from me, to you
All I want to see and hear
is a smile and "I love you too".
