Before Noon

by Sarah   Jul 5, 2006

I lost you in so many ways
A hundred million times
I couldnt even tell you
Cause I can barely surmise

I lost you in the morning
when i would roll over and kiss your shoulders
I miss you when your not there to squeeze
My bed is so much colder

I roll out of bed too late
then miss you when the showers on
but no one is there to hurry me
when I always take too long

Miss you when the dresser drawer falls
and it is not by your hand but mine
I miss you when my coffees ready
and when its breakfast time

I miss you when I open my email
and none are new from you
I cry when I see ones you've written
ones Ive already been through

I miss you when I leave the house
and no one yells goodbye
I walk to work thinking of you
I just try not to cry.

I miss you when I get to work
and no one knows your name
They havent seen the changes
They dont know that nothings the same

I miss you when I pick up the phone
I want the number to where you are
I dont know if your in heaven
or a bright shooting star

I miss you when I go for lunch
and know I didnt make one for you
I used to have it layed out
even thoughyou never asked me to.

I miss you when I need a hug
which seems to be all day long
I miss you when I need to talk
Babe, what did I do wrong?

I miss you when I want to apologise
For not loving you a million times more
For ushering you to that football game
and not foreseeing this aweful storm

I miss you when every minute passes
Minutes that you'll never get to see
Dates pass on the calender
Babe, I hope that you are free.
