Would you care?

If I passed away, would you care?
this is a question I would like answered true,
and at my funeral, would you be there?
at the church, sitting in the front pew?

If my life just went away in the blink of an eye,
could I count on you to be there before I'm left behind?
and as you look down into the coffin in which I lie,
would I always be a thought that remains on your mind?

If future memories with me could no longer go on,
would you still realize that I'd remember you forever?
and even with the knowledge that I am now gone,
would you cherish the old memories we once had together?

If I was rushed to the emergency room in the hospital,
could I be promised that you would be there for me?
and as you were sitting there not thinking this was possible,
would you understand that your presence alone makes me happy?
