Silence

People say silence is golden.
Parents ask their children to "be quiet".
They want the silence.
When in arguments people will say "shut up".
They want the silence.

Slowly silence is becoming what everyone asks for.
Teachers, couples, parents, friends, and family.
Everyone wants the silence.

People say silence is golden.
Silence, to some, is a good thing.
I think silence is a disease.

    It didnt rhyme, but not all your poems do, I thought this one didnt need to rhyme because the message was strong and i knew what you were writing about, it was very well done, keep it up my friend

    Another short poem, but I like short poems lol. It was very unique. I don't think i've ever read a poem about silence. I'm usually more into rhyming poems, but I really liked this one. You did a good job.

    Not bad.. i liked the fact that it didnt rhyme, it made it more sincere and serene.. short, but u got ur point across.. however, u stated everyone's point of view and neglected yours, which is needed, coz this poem is about what u think.. i mean, WHY do u think its a disease??
