How would you?

by Myke Roeschlein   Jul 10, 2006

How would you react,
If you heard my heart breaking.
As you listened to the crack,
And feel it's insides shaking?

Would you put your duties to rest?
Stop what you were doing.
Place your head upon my chest,
And listen to the misery brewing?

Would all else prove insignifigant?
If you knew my heart were dying.
You claimed that I'm magnificent,
Can you stomach my hearts crying?

Here I lay in my bedroom,
Motionless upon my floor.
With it's beats becoming seldom,
Until it can't cry anymore.

So this is all I receive,
For having been by your side?
Can I even expect you to grieve?
When you find my heart has died?
