Shattered City

by Porcelain   Jul 11, 2006

Come and see a shattered city,
it shines of broken dreams.
Come and take a look around,
it's nothing that it seems.

Dear, I've walked its roads before,
They're built on concrete lies,
If you stay here long enough,
your hopes and dreams will die.

You've never seen a thing like this,
and you never will again.
So look around- don't close your eyes!
Just breath and take it in.

I'm sure it's true,
the grass is greener on the other side,
all in all I'm not impressed,
cause this place is black and white.

OK, now your time is up,
you should be on your way..
You turn around and wave goodbye,
and go about your day.

And next time that you feel,
you might give up on your dreams,
remember that you've seen this place,
and were strong enough to leave.
