The Vault Within

by Michael   Jul 12, 2006

This barless prison
This eternal darkness
So empty and cold
Abandoned, forsaken
A heart turned black
A heart of stone
Carved from what once was
A rambunctious child
A child who quickly learned
What death is and how it waits for no one
A child who grew aware of the world
The people who inhabit it
Fake, evil, and just worthless
The scarce few who are worth more
Than his life
He puts them first and tries to please them
A child who has a vault within
The vault only opening to those who
Have the key
