The lust of Faith

by Lynn Anderson   Jul 12, 2006

I'm on the verge of the cutting edge. Of the downward slope. I had just made it to the top. It wasn't easy, it was the fact I learned to cope. With myself more than others. I was once on top, now I'm falling under.

Save me for my love for you is grand. Help me not to fall, and yet help me not to stand. Believe in me for I was with you. Lean to me, I had given you life, soul, and more love than you'll ever know.

Breathe my breath until he gives you life. Take this pain and take this life. Crying over the bliss and the mimic under stress. Wishing away for all this mess. Is too much to be understood.

I'm in the loathe of the orchid grove. Find faith in the many places you have never looked. Take the word but not just from me. If your lucky you will hear it far from the willow tree.

I love this poem! I truly do! I like that you wrote about faith, something different from the many "love" and "sad" poems that are popular on this site; it's a breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work!
