Lonely Girl

by t. h a l l i d a y *   Jul 12, 2006

Once upon a time there was a lonely girl
People thought she was as beautiful, as a shiny little pearl
They also thought she was happy which she knew wasn't true
She was rarely happy, but was mostly feeling blue

This lonely girl would cry all night, wishing her pain would end
Destroying her pretty little wrists every night, and everyday she'd play pretend
She'd pretend that she was happy, with that smile upon her face
But only she knew the truth, that she was a disgrace

Her tears keep falling down one night, mascara with them too
She grabbed her only friend, the blade, she knew just what to do
She wrote a pretty letter & signed it 'the girl you didn't know!'
She placed it on the table, and let her blood begin to flow

That night she died, laying on the bathroom floor
She had lost the battle between herself, she had lost the war
Her parents found the letter, and all night they cried
They lost there beautiful little girl to suicide
