Love, Death And Suicide at The Alter

There once was a man
a young girl too
they were perfect together
that everyone knew

she was young a pretty
he was handsome and tall
but happiness is always short lived they say
and no one would have guessed what
would happen at all

on the 7th of may they married
so in love and the best of friends
a beautiful bride and a loving groom
but both so close to the end

they walked to their limo
to start their new life
such a short future for
husband and wife

their limo was hit by a truck
who's driver ran a red light
the couples car was crushed underneath it
while the truck driver sped way out of sight

the man pulled his wife from the wreckage
her beautiful dress was covered in blood
and when she didn't answer his calls
his tears fell down in a flood

the young bride was rushed to the hospital
but her heart was found to have no rate
her new husband was unhurt
and her blamed himself for her fate

her sat with her for hours
wondering why it had to happen to his wife
why it had to happen on their special day
on the first day of their married life

leaving the hospital his heart was broken
broken so deep inside
he could not accept his new wife was dead
it hurt to much to say goodbye

but again tragedy was going to strike
but this time in a different form
the death Had hit the man so hard
between life and death he was feeling torn

the morning after the funeral
the sad young man made up his mind
he was going to be with his wife again
and leave the world that was so unkind

he wrote a letter to what was left of his family
telling them to be strong
to tell them all he love them
and to remind them to be strong

"her life's wish was for us to be happy
but I'm the only one left
for our life to turn out this way
we never would have guessed"

but know I'm leaving to be with her
but I'll see you all again
but until then i love you
and I'll see you all in heaven
