Black Roses

by BrokenMisery   Jul 15, 2006

Encrypted in your lack of morality,
This passionate brutality.
So rough, so gentle,
With butterflies on your lips,
Your touch sentimental
My sanity can't come to grips.
You set alight this fire
Thirst from the core,
Your devious smile
Leave my emotions running raw.

This lust my body contains,
Fed by this poison, drips attached to my veins
Through your thorns pierced in my skin.
So rough, so gentle,
Your grasp from within.
My origami paper heart
Weak from bittersweet intimacy.
This ironic game,
From pleasure to shame
Has stained both our souls.

You left these black roses
On my doorstep when you went away,
Death's kiss farewell
Until we meet, another day.

That was very dark and intense. I loved it...your words and descriptions were lovely. My favorite part had to be the ending with that though...I mean it just topped the hole thing off. Amazing job girl. Keep it up. :)

Wow, you`re very well spoken! Your wording was simply shocking in this poem ;; you used big words, which, in poetry, is essential. I think it definitely added a nice twist which most people don`t include in their poetry. You definitely did a great job, keep it up. 5/5
