Under the moon

by Jordan Smith   Jul 16, 2006

The light from the moon catches my eyes, as we lay under the tree side by side.

You kiss my cheek, then my lips, sending every kind of shiver from my arms to my finger tips.

You hold me till the sun makes its way over the trees, loving every second of your warmth while we are one with the morning breeze.

We use to meet every night under that tree, sharing our every thought, and most precious dream.

Times have changed since those days, and life seems to get harder in all sorts of mysterious ways.

I don't know where you are now, but one day, I hope it is me you have finally found.

Five years later I make my way to the tree, finding you there, I fall to my knees.

So under the moon we lay once again, then you ask me to marry you and my real life just started to begin.

The light from the moon shines now in your eyes, as I look into them seeing not one little lie.

I know now, after all I have forgotten and lost, with you, this moon, the sun and breeze, is where I want to spend eternity.
