My Guitar

by Colby   Jul 21, 2006

The body is a deep blue
Covered in a collage of stickers
Volume is maxed out
Vibrations so comforting

The neck is my escape
I run my fingers up and down
Bending and twisting a note
Music to my ears

Slung over my shoulder
The weight is nothing
When you're in front
Of everyone screaming your name

When I'm alone
When I'm depressed
I play my heart
My wounds are healed

I'll shut my eyes
But not miss a move
It is my everything
It is me

Every emotion displayed
I block out my enemies
I block out my tears
I block out myself

Could I live?
Without six strings?
It has helped me so,
My guitar
