Never good enough

At first things were okay,
We were best friends,
Then I started drifting away.

Things weren't like they used to be,
When we were us,
Not just you or me.

Things never got better,
You gave me back my make up,
I gave you back your sweater.

At first I only blamed you,
I was mad, angry, and confused,
Wondering if you thought of me that way too.

Then my eyes were opened so i could see,
That I WAS good enough for you,
And that I would never be good enough for me...
