Closing Water

by LostForever   Jul 23, 2006

What we strive to understand
is too complex to grasp
For we can't predict the future
Or guess the past
Out minds are deep with troubled times
Our bodies are fatigued
And what we struggle to bring to the surface
Cannot be perceived
Some say the mind has corridors
But I'd say that's a mistake
For under wise and clever eyes
The mind becomes a lake
A glassy surface, perfect green
Who knows what lies beneath?
Could it be a stormy sea?
Or the coral reef?
I sit and fish for memories
Care not of time that flies
Till from eerie depths I see
An answer i can prise

You will never see beneath the top
You will not break my shield
You can fish in me forever more
Yet I will never yield
You may come and search relentlessly
But I am Neptune's daughter;
yet...always there is troubled life....
Under every closing water.
