At first it seemed like the best thing to do
Just lie about it and brush it aside
But somewhere in the back of her mind its growing
Her love for him is becoming too strong to hide
She acts like nothing happened between them
Looking for some way to bury the memories alive
Her friends know that things didn't feel the way they seem
All she can do to keep it undercover is to tell another white lie
It's driving her crazy, she can't help it
But she can't tell anyone, he's her dirty little secret
The more she plays pretend, the more it's leading her to temporary insanity
Confused and depressed, she's holding onto every heart beat
Everything feels like she's moving in slow motion
And she doesn't know where she's going
He smiles at her and suddenly she's in Heaven
He touches her and her knees begin shaking
He leaves and takes a part of her heart with him
Nobody knows they play house, negligent of the lie their living
If only they knew, what it would do to their secret
Their fantasy would tumble, leaving only the paper on which they wrote it
A story of how 'Happy Ever After' ended so soon
Published worldwide before they finished writing their honeymoon
They can never let that happen, it's too much damage
The immorality of their story is tragic, for he's one plus two times her age
Not quite twice her age but it's still absurd
Maybe it's not love but a deep lust
Either way it's better kept between that piece of paper and their hands
To them it's nobody's business and no would they understand
