Best Friends Till Our End

The phone rings,i hear her cry,"I cant take it", then a cry of pain,of misery.

I hear the blade opening,"No,not again"i whisper,"remember our promise? i do as you do,remember?" She whispers,"no, you stay"her breathing deepens.

Tears fall from my eyes as i whisper" If you go,i go,thats the deal" "I cant take it any more," she whispers,
"Were?" i ask"twice on my wrist, twice on my arm" "I'll be there" i say"hurry" she says.

As i open the door, she smiles weakly at me,i take the blade from her and say"I told you i do as you do" "No please don't" she moans as i pull the blade over my wrist and arm. She lays there,smiling at me slowly dieing

"we're best friends but i hate you for doing this" she says."I know,come here" i say. And as we die i hold my only true friend in my arms.

"Best friends till our end jess,thats what we always said" she whispers, "Yes,we'll be damned together" She laughs roughly. "I love you" she says with her last breath, "I love you too" i say as my eyes drift shut.

They found our bodies in her room in a pool of blood, mine leaning against the wall,holding her against me tightly.

We watch from heaven as they put our
bodies on stretchers and cover them. Our parents cry,ask why, then the note id written falls from my pocket as the stretchers lifted,they read"She was sick and no one could help and i will not leave her to suffer,i do as she does"

We smile at each other and walk away from what we left behind.

"Best friends go to heaven when they leave life for the other" she says
"And best friends go to heaven when they're needed" i say.

We walk forever, the scares on our wrists glowing as a symbol of what i did to keep her and what she did to stop her pain.

We are best friends to our end.
