Carried By Rain

by Deana   Jul 26, 2006

She sat quietly pen in hand,
gazing out at the rain, waiting for it to speak.
emotions running through her mind
wanting to break free

No one would understand her abstract ramblings
except the poetic heart,
living far beneath the surface
behind walls that won`t be torn apart

Swiftly the pen glides
strokes of emotions on fields of white
So much life with its joy and its pain
in quiet remembrances ,carried by rain.

A gentle touch along the way
a broken heart afraid to stay
Its all there in misty dreams
untitled and scattered, all of life's scenes

Coming together in
illusion and rhyme
placed on paper
to endure through time

To the poet afraid to speak
who whispers to the wind his pain.
We are out here
waiting for poetry carried by rain.

You always seem to have a very gentle and nice flow to all your poetry. This was a very very good poem, and I loved reading it. I read it twice because it was fun reading it because of it's nice flow.

A let down ending, a bit, in my opinion, for the rest of the poem was so strong and wonderful... then you got that. But hey, who am I to say? I loved it anyways... It was strong and didn't deserve the '4.0' it got on the first rating.
