Light Forming Shadows

My few feeble words spill out through my teeth
Will they ever reach your ears?
You cover your ears not wanting your senses to catch up to your fears
Your body's falling through a dark abyss
Your soul is reaching for light
But the light only makes your shadows greater
You should have realized this through life
I can hardly see your face now
Lastly you shed a tear
It gently slides into my grasp
I'll miss you
