I love you, my dear boy
from the first day I saw you
Would you, could you...

You were so beautiful
All dressed up as a Russian Constable
In the play
Fiddler On the Roof
Would you, could you...

Looking at me
With those big brown eyes
A smile of a child
A child I do not have
Would you, could you...

I have grown to love you
Love you as my own
My heart aching
for something I can't have
Could you, would you...

    I think this should be called 'Would You Could You'.. For you use it all the time and just state it's for the boy at the top of the poem... But that's my suggestion only.

    Cute poem though.. I think you DO have a son so excuse my previous comments about getting confused. This is a medium emotion poem (it's neithrr strong nor weak) but it had good flow as well.
