Painful Words; Burning Tears

Painful words,
Flood through my ears,
Never to be forgotten,

Burning tears,
Escape my eyes,
And more are soon to follow,

I close my eyes,
Seal my ears,
Wait for the fear to pass,

Just leave me here,
To deal with pain,
That you have caused once more,

Life is life,
The words you said,
You can't ever take them back,

I know you`re sorry,
You always are,
No longer can I forgive,

Painful words,
Burning tears,
Memories of my past.

    A powerful poem. Despite the slight lack of tremendous detail, the flow of the poem and what it consisted was excellent. The language you confidently used was effective and the use of repetition was helpful within the piece. Very well done and keep writing =].
