These Days of Our Lives

by BrokenMisery   Aug 3, 2006

Vodka soaked breath,
Pierced tongue
(to keep those words inside these lips of mine).

These paper wings will never lift me
Off this broken soil,
And this heart will never hold
It will only spoil.

Layered face in make-up
Mask of a clown
But the insides are pouring,
And the truth is found.

The reflection of sweet foolishness,
The mirror of existence.
Plagued pages of witches curse,
And shredded persistence.

This black ribboned tragedy,
An encore to devour.
A staged story only to loose again,
And pass by the hour.

The grey sky of today will fade into history,
And will become yesterday
(Once again)...
