One push too far

by Not just a metaphorical genius   Aug 4, 2006

One last sentence and you had gone
To take back your heart,
And leave me alone

Did you ever stop to think?
That maybe just maybe you had pushed me too far
Asked me to swim, instead of sink

But I couldnt swim, I never knew how
I knew only simply to fall this hard
To live in the past, instead of the now

I did everything I could,
To show you I cared
But it wasnt enough, it never would

I wish I could, have been the one
The one you loved, and the one that was there
But I know youll be better, now that Im done

You can say they were right
When they said I was no good
A broken soul, with no true sight

Ill keep my place in hell
Give my life, for the rest
Take back the bad, and make others well

I hope you find, the one meant for you
The girl of your dreams
One pure and true

As for me, I am content to go
Back to my dark corner
To watch life go by, just like a show

This was just a poem, a really bad one as it turned out, but I hope you enjoy.

I really never would have guessed 74 year olds living in a country named ''Other'' would have such an interesting life poem to write about.

Thank you for the positive comment, it is my first comment I have recieved, and it was just, boosting. Thank you.

Now, I don't know what to say in here, other than, I enjoyed the poem.
