Blame Yourself

You told her you loved her
and your love is what she bought
You were a trustworthy person,
or at least that's what she thought

You had a special way
of making her believe
That you'd be with her forever
her side you'd never leave

She was convinced it was real,
nothing could break you two apart
Until that awful day you decided to shatter her heart

She'll never be okay now
the pieces will never mend
This happy part of her life
has now hit the very end

Her life is almost meaningless
she can't do much else but cry
Although she survives the days
she barely makes it by

She knows people love her
she's not fighting this on her own
But even with all these people
she still feels all alone

The emptiness within her
tells her she can't go on
She's been trying to fight it off
but too much has gone wrong

Her thoughts of suicide
have worsened day by day
They'll continue just like that
until she's gone away

She'll fight to stay alive
until she can't fight anymore
but it's hard to fight for life
when you don't have much to live for

She gives up too easily
she'll soon be gone
no big deal really
everyone's lives will go on

Her urges will grow stronger
she'll have no other choice
but to pick up the razor
and listen to that voice

That voice that's deep inside her
telling her what to do
This time it's telling her
she has to cut to make it through

She obeys and does just that
cutting a little too deep
A second too late she realizes
her life she wants to keep

She cringes her face
from the horrid pain
As she watches blood gush
from her broken vein

She can't do much else
but lie there and wait
She'll be dead soon
she was wrong-turned by fate

When they find her there dead
they'll know right away
Had you kept staying true to her
she'd still be here today

So blame yourself for this one
because you completely upset her
You caused her life to be
just a short little blur
