I would feel
Terrible
And the guilt would wind through
The narrow paths of my mind
Passing low lying thoughts
And subconscious figurings
Delving itself deep into the fathoms of my dreams
Until I shot upward form sleep
And the sensation of falling
Into something I can't even begin to imagine
Would overcome me
As my eyes attempted to adjust
To the looming dark
This would just continue
Until I was forced to come back
And talk with him again
Or stare sidelong out the window
