Older Brother

by Ana   Aug 9, 2006

Today isn't the day
Tomorrow shouldn't be
But I sit here and wait
For what? Well we'll just see

The purple tongue is slipping
Blood is the tears of lies
Every e-mail that I write
Confesses and cries

I say that I love you
But I don't know what love is
Yet I'll keep running back to you
Until you answer "What is this?"

I'm holding on to nothing
Dragging you right in
I'm pulling and I'm clinging
Taking you along for a spin

Be my bigger brother
Share your shiny shield
Then give back my piece of mind
Which you will have surely healed

I take your hand in my hand
It's not about the kiss
I'm trying to hold on to air
Not imaginary bliss

Forget about the dealing
Forget about the love
I want you as my brother
See me pray to up above

So now come back and heal me
But not at cost of you
Fix me if you really can
But only if it's true

Sacrifice this fragile soul
If you should feel the heat
Let me take the blame for this
Let me die of defeat

Be my older brother
Hold my hand today
Leave if this is too much
But if you can, just stay.
