Another Day of Hell

I open the door,
There is a creak in the floor.
And I silently slink to my room.

My mum and my dad yelling as if no one can hear.
I can easily tell that my dad has had too much beer.
My dad lifts up his hand and slaps my mums face,
The way he treats her is such a disgrace.

I hear the door slam
As mum leaves her man.
My dad punches the wall
And onto my bed I fall.

My dad walks in and kisses my cheek,
I didn't even realize I had fallen asleep.
He says that he is sorry and didn't mean to hurt mummy.
He was just upset about the baby in her tummy.
