A place where you don't want to be
But you are
But you have to stay

A place that you grew up in, and are growing up in
But brings you down
But drains you out

This place is making me a horrible person
Or so I'm told
That it is me that's the problem
Not this place

I look around me and suck in the atmosphere
How can one confined space make someone feel so low?
It can pull down a person's positivity
Turn it into negativity

All it takes is one's foul mood
It feeds on this deadly poison, spreads its venom
One by one, all who are in this box drop

Their moods drop
Their shoulders drop
Their smiles drop

And they wonder why I don't want to be here!
It's destroying me
I can sense it
I am turning into that 'horrible person'
but only in this place
