First Look

by Rachel   Aug 11, 2006

You look at me as if I am a threat to you
As if I am going to snatch everything that makes your world
As if I am going to steal all that makes you smile
As if I am going to snare all that makes your life worthwhile

Your envious eyes travel me from my head to my toes
In a hope that each stare will destroy me
In a hope that as the old saying goes....
If looks could kill, you would kill me

Is it envy, is it hate, or is it just plain jealousy?
I've just walked past your sorry state, It's the first time you've seen me
So I'm sorry girl, I have to say your seeming insecure,
You're the one with the problem and I say that for sure

For I'm looking at you too
But the difference is not in hate or envy,
I'm just glad that I'm me and certainly not you
and I'll thank my stars for eternity

So as this piece comes to an end
Just remember my sad sad friend
That at the end of the day your stares make me stronger
So keep them coming longer and longer
It all contributes to my power.

Your envy generates my energy!

Hmm.. i didn't really like this one.. it seemed to not have a point and it wasn't really funny.. there was a lot of repitition which i think threw off the flow a little.. try putting this in a different section and make it a little bit clearer.. 3/5
