Pain

If you were to feel
The pain in my heart;
You would know how real
It is in my life.

I don't know how
To escape the pain.
I don't know how
To go through it again.

Many only believe
They know how it feels
To have someone leave,
But truly inside they never know.

Maybe one day,
This will all be over.
I will not need
To keep it in store.

One of these days,
I will be free
From the pain that stays
Eternally with me.
