Changes From Day To Night

by nobody truly knows me   Aug 16, 2006

~*~i was experimenting here...please tell me what you think and how i could improve...your advice is welcome~*~

Sunshine,
Joy spreads throughout the land.
Hope once more is mine,
I can again understand.

Little children come out to play,
As the sun is shining bright.
People everywhere embrace the day,
Happiness is everywhere in sight.

And then, behold!
The sun does set.
Heat turns to cold,
Evil is about to be met.

Night,
Everything fades to black.
Gone is the sense of right,
Safety we now lack.

People hover in fear,
Dread settles in.
Wishes to disappear,
Are thought of again and again.

Then a single ray of light,
Promises the beginning of day.
It penetrates the night,
Driving fear away.

We again are free to hope,
Again are free to play.
No longer will we mope,
Until the end of day.

For when it comes night,
The fear starts again.
And only till it's light,
Will the fear finally end.

I like this. =) very different to any poems i've read and remembered. =)

i'd go 4.5/5, but i'll round up to be nice. =D the flow is out on some stanzas. just say it aloud, or count ur syllables and it will be fine.

excellent creativity, thankyou for your wonderful comments on my poems. =)

    keep writing,
