The Death Of Loyalty

by Learning2Breathe   Aug 20, 2006

Beads of sadness thunder down her cheek
As she sits alone on the highest mountain's peak
Abandoned by the cold world's light
She stands hushed trembling in endless fright
The painful thoughts are a burden to bear
At her weeping heart, the lies begin to tear
Transgressions that can not be reversed in her life
Continually stab, like a hot searing knife
Strangled by memories of a single mistake
She ignores the turmoil, the agony, the ache
Drowning in her sorrow, she can't even breathe
Reminiscing in her past, she knew she must leave
Withdrawn from the comfort of her previous love
Wishing she could see him from high up above
Darkness continues to swirl round her brain
As she thinks of the loving husband, now slain
Crimson liquid drips from the blade
Still stained with the most recent kill she made
Now only wishing her body to rot
She slides the knife down, X marks the spot.

A copy of a previous poem, but I still reserve the same opinion. And I love your work.
