Breaking His Heart

It's the same old story, with a sad little twist.
It starts off happy, but ends with a slit to the wrists.
As you hear the words I have to say,
remember that this guy cries everyday.

I'll tell it like this,
it began with a moment of pure bliss.
Two people, madly in love.
I was his angel who fell from above.
He gave me his heart, and I swore to keep it safe.
But things happened, due to a change in faith.

Now we both sit here, broken hearted.
And it's all because of the separate ways we parted.
If I saw him today, I'd tell him all the things I need to say.
I'd tell him I still love him, and I still think of him to this day.

*Long story short, I broke the most amazing guy's heart, and haven't said another word since. I still love him, but that means nothing now...
