The Ballad of the Lonely

by BrokenMisery   Aug 21, 2006

It's the tears that fill up the rivers
The release running through veins.
The screams from empty lungs
Its the mournful dance in the rains.

When I wake up tomorrow,
You'll still be asleep
With the dreams of foregone times;
Where funeral goers weep.

Standing under black umbrellas
At the tombstone of your grave,
The heaven's tears raining
At the life you gave away.

It's the ballad of the lonely,
It's those who are left behind.
It's the ones that can't make it through,
It's the tears of those who miss you.

    It's been awhile since I've done anything. My life's screwed up again. I enjoyed the poem, although heaven won't weep for me and no one will show up at my funeral. It's a nice thought though. :-)

    Good. I like how the statement is very clear.
