Beauty with a twist

by lonelynow   Aug 22, 2006

Anorexic beauty
Beauty with a twist
Every moment of beauty
Erases her will to exist

She's beautiful; she's perfect
But she doesn't see that
And it doesn't help her when
Daddy calls her fat

Her pen is her freedom
Her blood is her ink
But she had to stop writing
When she was to fat to think

She must be perfect
She must persist
Anorexic beauty
Beauty with a twist

I liked your use of metaphors in this poem. It made it come alive. Read some of my poems. Some of them are a bit old, though. :)
