Pulling Apart Love

by BrokenMisery   Aug 25, 2006

It's the overflow pouring from misery's eyes
The epic of the forgotten, the chaos and the cries.
Spread your arms and reach for the sky,
The hero's in your heart, just spread your wings and fly.

The rose on your pillow, the thorns in your bed
When you sleep tonight, they pierce through your head,
The sweet sting of romance.

And your patchwork pieces won't hold together,
Behind your blue eyes, you know it doesn't last forever.
Soaking your breath in red wine and gin,
The moon has risen for the end to begin.

Your feathered wings landing at your feet,
Each feather falls making you a little more incomplete.
He left your world; he hasn't been seen in these parts,
Its been years and all you have to remember him by
Is your dandelion hearts.

    ((I LOVED this line!))
And your patchwork pieces won't hold together
    ((Take out the And...))

Otherwise, this is an absolutely amazing poem discribing a breakup (or that's what I got out of it). I would never have thought to do such, and it's just amazing. Great write.
