No Peas For You Today

There was a boy who was quite so bad,
He drove his mother bloomin' mad,
Each night as they sat to eat their food,
The little boy payed for being so rude,
"No peas for you today my son,
Just think about what you have done."

The next day he told a dreadful lie,
So he ate no carrots with his meat pie,
But instead of carrots, for goodness sake,
His mother gave him extra cake!

His punishment at meals had gotten harder,
Since the day he'd raided the larder,
These days his poor mother could hardly speak,
So she gave him no cabbage with his roast beef.

By now the boy was getting plump,
His sister weeped with just one thump,
But when his sister Mandy told,
He knew he'd be in for quite a scold!

But that dinner he was THUNDER-STRUCK,
He KICKED and SCREAMED for his bad luck,
Because he'd been so mean to Mandy,
He was not allowed any CANDY!

I must say i could not blame the boy for being quite so bad,
When there were all his vegetables never to be had,
What a punishment it must have been,
Not to eat a single bean!
And don't forget at all about,
All those slimy Brussels sprouts!

But from that day what did amaze me,
He never drove his mother crazy,
He was the kindest little boy that ever could be able,
As long as he never had to eat a dreaded....

VEGETABLE!!!
