Luna

by Twisted Heart   Aug 26, 2006

The moon is such a complex thing
In it's glow, we build our hopes
We surrender to our every dream
We teach ourselves the art to cope.

We look upon the moon at night
Its beams reflect the scattered stars
The way that we perceive the light
Is how it can define our hearts.

The sorrowed umber, we dare to see
As distant memories abate
Leading our souls with ecstasy
Locked deep within the hands of fate.

We dare to dream upon the moon
As sure as it could light our path
We strike with it a lonely tune
And leave behind it's shadowed past.
