Scars

by Peyton   Aug 30, 2006

When you turn away from me,
and treat me like i'm not there.
thats when my wounds re-open,
and bleed out whats left of your love.
i just sit and cry,
and wish it were a dream,
coz you cut me really deep,
over and over again.
my heart is like a jigsaw,
with a missing piece.
without you love its not complete.
i wish i could begin again,
and make it so we'd never met.
maybe then i'd have some confidence,
and a little self-respect.
i\'ve moved on from you,
and found another friend.
someone that respects me for what i have to give.
the piece is no longer missing,
someoes filled it in.
i finally have some confidence,
and self-respect from within.
now my wounds are healing,
i hope the memories will fade.
coz your the only one who couldnt see through my charade.
everyone could see that you had me locked behind bars,
i just hope they don't notice all the scars.

This is so good. your details are precise and i liked how you rhymed it near the end. I loved your line about your heart being a jigsaw, simply perfect. keep up the good work.
