Should I

by Bill Turner   Sep 1, 2006

Should death find me in the light
Enjoying the life you have given me
Unaware and with a smile upon my face
Know that I never truly lived until you
Savoring every moment and all you do

Never knowing fear I am in uncharted waters
Fear lurks in the recesses of my heart
Not wanting to be without you or to leave you
Sweetheart, I will miss your eyes and your look of love
Deep inside I know that you are my angel from above

Should I be taken from you before you are ready
Smile and know you brought me real love and joy
You have given me more than I deserve in this life
You are my destiny, my reason for drawing breath
Your happiness is all I shall desire until my death

When I am gone, do not mourn for me
Celebrate what we have and what we had
Live each day as I would want you to, with a smile
Knowing that I await you in your next life
Destined to again find my eternal wife
