One Favor Lord

by Deana   Sep 4, 2006

Dear God,
If I could ask one favor
Just one moment in time
To laugh and run and follow the clouds
As they go passing by

Just one small favor Lord
To live out one beautiful dream
To pick daisies along a country road
And play in a mountain stream

You are all powerful
So I know it could be done
Take the darkness from my world
Let me feel once more the sun

Oh and God ,could this one favor
Include all the poets too
Cause when I read their words at night
I feel their pain come through

I won`t make you promises Lord
Sometimes their hard to keep
I probably don`t deserve this favor
But theres so many hearts in need.

If you could see your way clear
To grant this one request
Lift the heart of the lonely
And let the poets heart find rest.

The first stanza of this was awesome and so was the 2nd. I liked how you started it off and the title fits the poem good. I enjoy reading your poems so I'm gonna put you on my favorites :)

I'll have to just echo the last comment. Bravo, I enjoyed it very much. It's nice to see someone write so many pieces free of angst. A more bright poetry.

This poem is amazing, I just love it. I'll e-mail it to myself, so I can keep it and read it every now and then.

I enjoyed reading it, the theme was original and the word choice was good. However, I think there are some typos that you could correct. I always make these mistakes...wish somebody would let me know.
