Truth

by Chris Rodriguez   Sep 5, 2006

Two thousand years in the likeness of a fraud
Your hell is something scary I prefer a loving god

Playing the game of hypocrisy
Until your people live in fear
Preachers of the word please don't be offended
The word is not true if not open minded

And it's true that Jesus was the son of god
So was Gandhi, Buddha, you, and me

We are not the center of this limited universe
The sun doesn't spin for a speck of dust
or stop for a smaller mistrust

The creator of this place you understand
Is more complicated than the blood spilled on this land

Fundamental hatred I have to say is too simple
Soul intervention, communication can't be found with the pull of a trigger

To live in fear is to live out of grace
Realization of that fact is too hard for some to face

I will be your heretic
You'll never burn me
Truth belongs to everybody
