Lived And Died.

by Megann Lee   Sep 12, 2006

Every things fading upon this foggy night here.
The sounds are dulling, and the crickets chirps are growing.
Her breathing is slowing, tears are welling in her blue eyes.
Life has been lived to it's fullest, and now it's time to pass on by.

Her grip is tightening, the fear is building for time is almost stopped.
Stopped in it's tracks, time to let everything go quickly.
Don't have any fears, spread those wings you where given.
And take your destined flight, up high above the clouds.

When it's all said and done, nothing more to be spoken of.
She's gone, her smile lingering on her pale resting body.
Her white hair, and perfectly wrinkled skin and dulled blue eyes.
Tell the story of, the old lady who's now lived and died.

I liked this poem. It was very creative and the end was a shocker.. I really didn't see it coming. Also, it was beautifully written. Great job.
