Strong Tower

It was said that you were my Strong Tower,
Everything I needed was all in Your Power,
But when that day that I felt helpless hit,
That's when I fell into the bottomless pit.

Feeling myself slowly becoming depressed,
You finally came out and had it addressed,
You told me that my life had to change,
That the person I became was very strange.

You mentioned that it was not who I am,
Like I was almost putting on a big scam,
So I began to look up to Heaven,
And You forgave me seventy times seven.

I'm still eating and breathing today,
And thankfully walking in Your way,
So thank you for your kind Truth,
And showing me that life's not uncouth.

You ARE my Strong Tower,
And everything that I need I put in Your Power...

Please, tell me how I did...I am still in depression and this is a point in my life that I want to reach soon. This is almost like a prayer for me...so please, I beg you, let me know how I did and what you think I need to do to make it better...please!!!

    I found your poem very inspirational. I am at the same place in my faith as you. Why don't we talk once in in while i mean like why don't we PM each other like once a week and find out how the other is doing. What things thta were good happenned and what things that weren't so great happenned. We could kind of keep each other accountable for growing closer to God and doing what he wants us to do.

    You should never ask someone if you need to change your writing. These are YOUR thought, YOUR feelings. Do with them what you please. Personally, I thought it was really well done!! Don't change a thing!
    Oh, and trust in God, with him all things are possible! ;)
