Rest in Peace Ashley Jade Rux

by Rachel   Nov 15, 2006

I was going through some of my stuff that I have kept since I was a toddler and I came across this obituary and thought that I'd share this poem that this six year old girl wrote. She was not only a sister to me, but an inspiration and I hope that this poem inspires you just as it did me.

A Seed

"A seed sleeps in the soil, soon, a stem
sprouts, reaching for light. Leaves come, and
the plant grows. Then, a bud appears,
opening to become a blossom. Some
blossoms become fruit; some become
flowers, flowers and fruits fade and
change into seeds. Seeds fall on the ground
and rest in the soil..."

In loving memory of Ashley Jade Rux; may you rest in peace.
