Forbidden Land

by Deana   Sep 15, 2006

She walked cautiously and carefully
Into the forbidden land
A stranger stood there waiting
Offering to take her hand

She was afraid of what was hiding
In the shadows of the trees
But he gently reassured her
I`ll be with you to protect you,in time you`ll
Come to see.

Though she longed to be there
She was afraid to continue on
The sweetest voice she`d ever heard
Said I won`t leave you on your own.

In time she felt the struggle
As she faced an inner foe
The forbidden land was somewhere
She wasn`t sure she was ready to go

Still she knew she had the stranger
As she turned to take his hand
He was gone without goodbye
He`d left her alone and crying
In the forbidden land.
